A. L. Blackman

Normal Notes.
Wednesday Edition.
Again we are called upon to chronicle the death of another student of the normal. Mr. A. L. Blackman, of LaFontaine, Ind., came to the normal only 2 weeks ago, but his lungs were so badly affect that quick consumption started and soon called him to his long home. Mr. Blackburn received contant attention from kind and loving hands, and although among strangers, yet all that human hands could do would not prolong his life. Before dying he made all necessary arrangements for his burial and thanked his friends kindly for their assitance. -- The remains were taken to LaFontaine for interment.

[Note: The surnames of Blackman and Blackburn are both used in reporting the death.]
