Albert Gustavas Bergstrom

Obituary.
Albert Gustavas Bergstrom, third son of Mr. Frank Bergstrom, of Chesterton, died at 8:30 p. m., on Tuesday, Nov. 16th, at his father's residence, after a very protracted illness.

Albert was a sufferer of consumption, the first symptoms of which became visible about two years ago, after suffering from an attack of lung fever -- from which time he has gradually weakened until the time of his death. He was born in Chesterton, on Sept. 26, 1866, where he has resided all his life, forming many friends, and he had become universally regarded as a young man possessed of many noble qualities. His demise casts a gloom over his very large circle of acquaintances, by whom he was much beloved. During all his illness Alfred has manifested a very becoming spirit of resignation, and more especially during the past few weeks, during which time he has clung to the hope set before him in the Gospel of Christ, of which he was a firm believer. He had given many signes of his readiness to die, frequently talking as though he had glimpses of the eternal world. While conversing with friends his face frequently beamed with joy, and just before his death he told his father of his happiness, and raising his thin hand, he pointed with his long finger upward, saying he saw a light, and his friends have no doubt but that Albert has joined his sainted mother, brother and sister who have preceded him through the valley of death, having died from the same disease.

Mr. Bergstrom and family have the universal sympathy of the community in their affliction. The funeral will take place from the Swedish Lutheran Church, of which Albert was a member, to-day, Nov. 18, at 10 o'clock a. m.

The funeral will be conducted by J. B. Lundberg. Services by Rev. L. Vebelius.
