It seems to be all the rage now for jilted swains to kill themselves. Arthur Bealer of Union Mills, got the mitten from his girl, which affected him so badly that he went to the woods and blew his head off with a shot-gun. The fellow was only 19 years old. If boys only knew what a real blessing it is to be jilted and escape the miseries of matrimony, they would howl for very joy instead of going off and killing themselves.
