Bayman

Old man Bayman, a late resident of the northeast part of the city, died last Sunday morning under distressing circumstances. He had been sick for a long time, had received poor attention and died in a filthy bed in a hovel. Those who had gone there to attend him in his last hours and his death, report that the place was so stinking that a person of clean habits could not stay in the house. Deceased lived with his son-in-law, at whose residence he died, and he was buried at the county's expense. The neighbors are loud in their censure of those who should have better cared for the old man.
