LIBERTY TOWNSHIP.
A sad event was the death of Mrs. Catherine Ameling, wife of J. T. C. Ameling, which took place on the 25th inst. Mrs. A. was a German lady, and resident of this township for about 4 years. She has been sick about a year, more or less, and has endured very great suffering during the latter time of her illness until death relieved her from the great pain. She leaves her husband, a step-daughter and many friends to mourn her loss.
