Link Cemetery, Jackson TownshipIndex of Link Cemetery burials . . . .
The Link Cemetery was located west of the Quakerdom Cemetery on U.S. Route 6 in
Section 22. The cemetery was named in honor of Jacob and Catherine (Zimmerman)
Link, who arrived in Porter County in 1853. It is believed that seven or eight
graves once existed in the cemetery.
It has been reported that the tombstones
associated with these graves were piled along a fence in Section 21 when U.S.
Route 6 was being built. Note that plat maps do not denote a cemetery located in
Section 22.
