Obtaining Porter County Death Certificates
The Porter
County Health Department maintains death certificates from 1884 to present.
Photographic identification is required to obtain a death certificate. A copy of
your driver's license or a state-issued photograph identification card bearing
your signature will be accepted. Copies of certified death certificates can be
obtained for $7.00, while the genealogy-related search fee is $2.00. Payment
must be made by cash or money order; personal checks are not accepted for
