RESOLUTIONS OF CONDOLENCE PREPARED BY G. A. R.
As our aged and faitful comrade, A. J. Zorn, has been removed from this life by the Divine Ruler of all things, therefore be it
Resolved, That we fully sympathize with the family in this, their great bereavement, knowing that in his death the wife lost a faithful and loving husband, the children a kind, sympathetic and indulgent father -- a loss to them that can never be replaced; and
Resolved, That the members of Chaplain Brown post No. 106, Department of Indiana, G. A. R., has lost a brave, patriotic and Christian comrade, one who left a family in his home and went forth to take up arms, to expose himself in camp life and in the terrors of battle to maintain the honor of his country; a comrade that will be sadly missed in our future post meetings and other gatherings; and be it further
Resolved, That these resolutions be spread upon the records of this post, a copy sent to the family of the deceased, and the same published in the newspapers of Valparaiso.
Signed -- J. N. Finney, N. J. Bozrath, H. B. Miller, committee.
