Sister May Xavier

Sister Mary Xavier died at St. Mary's of the Woods, Terre Haute, aged 77 years. She was the last one of the seven French women who founded the Order of Sisters of Providence there in 1842. The order now has 700 teachers in parochial schools in the cities of the country and owns property valued at from $7,000,000 to $8,000,000.
