Amos Wilson
OBITUARY.
Died -- September 28th, 1884, at his late residence at Union Center, Amos Wilson, aged 56 years and 17 days.
The deceased was born in Montgomery County, Ind., Sept. 11th, 1828. He removed with his parents to this county when five years of age, and his home has been here ever since. He was married to Hannah Crisman July 1st, 1854. This union was blest with a large family of children, two of whom preceded their father to the spirit land, while four sons and five daughters remain to mourn their loss of an earthly parent. He was converted to the Christian religion at the age of 22 years, and has ever held a firm hope in his Saviour.
Dearest Father we shall miss thee
From the circle of our home,
But we could not keep thee longer,
Jesus Whispered "Well done, Come."
'Tis hard to think that thou art gone,
For so sudden was the blow,
And the sadness of our aching hearts
None but God can know.
But may this thought ever cheer us
In the future years to come,
"By the Grace of God we'll meet thee"
In a brighter, better home.
