Mary Emma Weiler
OBITUARY.
Mary Emma Ross, daughter of Samuel C. and Sarah A. Ross, born in Porter township near Porter Cross Roads, Dec. 30, 1869; died in the Wesley Memorial hospital, Chicago, May 10, 1916, aged 46 years, 4 months, 11 days.
On March 21, 1894, she was united in marriage to John L. Weiler. Three boys blessed this union, one dying in infancy.
She united with the Salem M. E. church about 25 years ago, and since has had her membership transferred to Hebron.
She has always manifested a deep interest in church work, and cheerfully performed any duty assigned her, because of her love for the work.
As a mother she was always ready to assist her boys in their school work and other interests, cheerfully giving her time and ability toward the welfare and happiness of the family.
An active and earnest member of the Women's Missonary society -- "By their deeds ye shall know them."
A loving and faithful member of the order of Pythian Sisters, who, through her loyalty and services, had earned and received the highest honors to be conferred upon a member of the subordinate temple. At the time of her death she was ably filling the office of mistress of finance.
During her last affliction she remained cheerful and hopeful, passing on to enjoy the reward of one who had placed her trust in her Redeemer.
Left to mourn her loss are her husband, two sons, a mother, one sister, three brothers, and numerous other relatives and friends.
