IN AND ABOUT CHESTERTON.
The sad news has just been received of the sad death by drowning of Mr. Isaac Peer, nd Mrs. H. J. Wallace, old residents of this vicinity, in the Snohomish river, near Snohomish, Washington Territory. The accident occurred on the 19th of December. They, in company with others were coming down the river in a boat, when it struck an old tree under the surface, capsized, resulting in the deaths of Mr. Peer and Mrs. Wallace. Mr. Peer is a brother of Mrs. Purnett Bronson, and Mrs. Homer Tillottson, and related to a number of other citizens of this vicinity, who greatly deplore the distressing accident.
