LOCAL.
Mr. Waist, a brother-in-law of Lyman Able, died last Monday evening or Tuesday morning, at his residence in the southeast corner of Woodbull's addition to this city. He was an aged man who had lived here but a few months, and had been sick several weeks of dropsy, which caused his death. His funeral was conducted at the house of the deceased, Wednesday forenoon, by Rev. Mr. Meredith, of the Methodist Church, and the burial was at the Washington Township Cemetery, near the Luther School House. He left a widow and numerous other relatives to mourn their bereavement.
