R. C. Wadge
Death of Ex-senator Wadge.
The Hobart Transcript says that R. C. Wadge departed this life on Friday evening at 7 o'clock, at his residence in Fort Wayne. Mr. Wadge came to Hobart in an early day, and was employed for a number of years as depot agent for the Pennsylvania Railroad Company. He being a good business man, and quite popular throughout the county, was induced to run for the state senate, which he did, and was elected by a large majority. He served his constituents in that capacity with honor to himself and credit to his party. Since misfortunes have assailed him and about a year ago he went to Fort Wayne, and was employed as book-keeper in a large wheel manufacturing establishment, which poisition he retained till his death. Mr. Wadge leaves a great many friends, who mourn his departure. His funeral took place on Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, when his remains were placed in the family burying ground, followed by a large number of friends.
