Joseph Vannostran
Near Hazelton Thursday last while guests were gathering for the marriage of Wm. Gillespie and Miss Jane Field, her brother-in-law Joseph Vannostran took a chill, went to a bedroom and lay down, and in about a half an hour his wife went to his room and found him dying, so before a remedy could be administered he was beyond its reach. The wedding passed off quietly in presence of this sudden death, and sisters were made one a wife and one a widow in the short space of an hour. The bride of this occasion was a relative -- we think a sister -- of our townsman Geo. E. Field.
