LOCAL.
Dr. Parker, of the Unitarian Church, was suddenly called away last Sunday morning to conduct the funeral of Freddie, 3 year old son of Mr. Wm. Unruh, at their residence in Morgan township, and Prof. Perrine, of the Normal School, conducted the services at the church, which, in compliance with the request of the late State Temperance Convention that a temperance discourse be given in every Church on the Sunday next before the election, he made appropriate to the occasion by showing that all the great nations of history, Egypt, Persia, Greece, Rome and France, had fallen from their grandeuror greatly failed therein through intemperance, and warning that unless we repent we shall all likewise perish.
