REPORT OF CORONER'S INQUEST.
State of Indiana, Porter County, ss:
BE it remembers that on the 14th of Oct., 1885, information was given to me, that the dead body of a man lay in Westchester Township, Porter County, Ind., supposed to have come to death by accident or casualty, and to ascertain, so far as possible, the cause and cricumstances of said death witnesses were called and examined, their material evidence reduced to writing, signed by myself and given to the County Clerk of Porter County. Whereupon, I find decedent's name unknown, that he was about 65 years old, light complexion 5 feet 8 inches high, plainly dressed, and that he came to his death by concussion of a passenger engine going east on the Michigan Southern railroad. His person was committed to the charge of the township trustee for burial.
A. P. LETHERMAN, Coroner.
