Accident.
An Irishman, whose name we did not learn, was run over by a wood train, on Sat. morning.

The man was repairing the railroad track, and when the train was approaching he had an iron bar under one of the ties, for the purpose of raising the track, and was resting on one end of the bar -- he was warned of the approaching train, but thought there was no danger -- when the locomotive struck the rail he was prying up, it threw him on the track in front of the train which passed over him.

His legs were crushed and his head severely lacerated, causing his death in a few hours.

We do not learn that any blame was attached to those in charge of the train.
