Another Railroad Accident!
On Friday last, while a wood train on the Northern Indiana Railroad was ascending a grade near Homesville, a few miles west of Laporte, the water in the boiler was suffered to get low, and upon filling it up again it exploded, killing the engineer on the spot, and injuring 3 or 4 others -- two it is thought mortally. It is wise to be always prepared for death -- especially so when going on a railroad. We are likely to have about two serious accidents of the kind to record each week, and the subject will soon become uninteresting. We obtained the above information from Esq. Dunning who brought it from Laporte on Saturday.
