DEATH CALLS FO ANOTHER PIONEER
(From Monday's Daily)

After a month's illness from Bright's disease, Mrs. Lucinda Smith, 77 years old, wife of Hudson T. Smith, who survives, died last night at 10:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Deardoff, of North Franklin avenue. Mrs. Deardoff is the only child. Others to mourn her loss are three grandchildren, and brothers and sisters as follows: Gilbert Goodger, or Lawrence, Kas.; Lester Goodger, residing in western Kansas; Mrs. Sarah Andrews of Oneanta, N. Y.; Mrs. Louisa Luddington, of this city, and Mrs. Phoebe Glover, of Port Huron, Mich.

Lucinda Goodger was born at Dayton, O., July 31, 1839. She came to Plymouth with her parents in her childhood, but later the family moved to Deepriver, where they settled on a farm. At that place she was married to Hudson T. Smith, May 17th, fifty-nine years ago. They lived on their farm until thirty years ago, when they came to Valparaiso.
