William Selanders
From the DAILY VIDETTE of Tuesday, Nov. 20th, inst.
William Selanders, a normal student residing at Stiles Block, died at 7 o'clock last evening. His remains were taken to his home in Mendon, O., for interment. Mr. Selanders had been sick with measles, but was supposed to be practically relieved of danger from them and even at noon yesterday the patient was cheerful and no further difficulty was apprehended in his case. After he had eaten dinner, however, he became suddenly worse and gave himself up immediately to die, saying to his landlady, Mrs. Stiles, that he expected never to leave her house alive. He made all preparations to die and seemed fully resigned to his fate. All that medical skill could devise was done for him, but to no avail. Prof. Brown was preparing last night to accompany the corpse in person. Mr. R. Mack, who rooms in the same building, is very sick from the same malady, but not without strong hope of recovery.
