CLYDE JOHNSON OPERATED ON SECOND TIME
(From Saturday's Daily)
Laporte Herald: A second operation was performed at the Holy Family hospital on Clyde Johnson, the man from Hebron, Indiana, who was injured ten days ago in the same auto accident which resulted in the instant killing of John Sams of Valparaiso. The surgeons operated on Johnson's skull several days ago, to remove pressure on the brain caused by concussion. It was discovered yesterday that there was a fracture of the skull on the opposite side of the head from the place where the operation was performed, and another operation was doomed necessary. Johnson acted like a maniac during a part of the time Wednesday night, and twice almost unmanagealbe. In addition to the injury to his head he has a bad fracture of one leg.
