Mrs. Isaac Bond died near Valparaiso on the 19th. She had been suffering for some three months from pleuretic or rheumatic trouble, but was not considered in critical condition. Tuesday forenoon she was in uncommonly fine spirits. About 3 P. M., whiole conversing cheerfully with some friends, she suddenly threw her hands back in a spasm. The doctor was immediately summoned, but she grew rapidly worse, dying at 6 o'clock. The immediate cause of her death was dropsy of the heart. The deceased was 50 years old in January last. She was an esteemed member of the Baptist church, uniting with that body under the pastorate of Rev. J. M. Whitehead. The remains were brought and laid in the cemetery at Door Village, on Thursday, Elder Ash conducting the services. The deceased was a daughter of the late A. W. Rodgers and sister of Dr. and Mr. A. J. Rodgers.
