George Ritter

IN AND ABOUT CHESTERTON.
DIED, on Monday, April 19th, Mr. George Ritter, at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Kuhl, near McCool station; after a brief illness. The funeral was held on Wednesday, the 21st inst., and was conducted by the G. A. R. Post of Hobart, assisted by the G. A. R. Post of Chesterton. The deceased was an old soldier, serving in the 7th Indiana Cavalry during the war, and was greatly respected by his comrades. At his death Mr. Ritter was 43 years old, and leaved five orphan children, the eldest 16 years, and the youngest a two year old babe. The remains were interred in McCool's cemetery.
