MONDAY
The funeral of Mrs. Emily Skinner, which took place yesterday forenoon in the M. E. church, had a very large attendance. For an ordinary life time the deceased had been an active working member of the Methodist church and a consistent Christian lady and her estimable character was manifest even to those having the least acquaintance with her.
[Note: Various genealogies posted on Rootsweb.com indicate that Emily Skinner's maiden name was spelled as either Read or Reed.]
