NORMAL NOTES.
A sadness was thrown over the school this week occasioned by the death of Miss Florence Wilson, of Port Huron, Mich., and George Pratt of this place. The former has for some time been troubled with some lung affection which recently assumed the symptoms of quick consumption and took her from her many friends Tuesday afternoon. She was highly esteemed by her teachers as well as her class-mates. Mr. Pratt has been an invalid for some time, but not until Saturday was he considered in a dangerous condition. He was taken away Wednesday morning, leaving a host of friends among the students and citizens of Valparaiso. He left a wife and one child.
