Charles Peterson

Coroner's Inquest Report.
State of Indiana,
Porter County.

BET IT REMEMBERED, That on the 18th day of December, 1875, information was given to me that the dead body of a man was lying by the wagon road in Westchester township of said county, supposed to have come to his death by casualty, and I thereupon caused a jury to be summoned, sworn, and charged to ascertain, so far as possible, the cause and circumstances of said death. Witnesses, accordingly, were, called and sworn, and testimony taken and reduced to writing, signed by both said jury and myself, and filed in the Clerk's office of said county, whereupon said jury made their verdict that the said "decedent came to his death by becoming intoxicated, lying down and freezing to death." Said decedent's names was Charles Peterson, he was a Swede, had a family and residence in said township, and his effects and body were left in charge of his family.
WM. C. PARAMORE,
Coroner of Porter County.
