Charles Peterson
LOCAL.
Andrew Munson and Charles Peterson, Swedes, residing near the crossing of the Michigan Central railway and the Chesterton and City West wagon road, in this county, went to Michigan City together last Friday, with Munson's team; there bought and drank half a pint of whiskey, and started home; and on their return about one mile east of City West, while Munson was driving, though so drunk as to be unconscious, Peterson fell out and crawled into the bushes beside the road, where he was first found the next day by a dog drawing attention to him, frozen to death, and covered with snow. He was taken to his residence, the coroner was notified and an inquest held partly Saturday and partly Sunday, and reported facts as above stated. Mr. Peterson left a wife and four or five children to mourn their loss and claim the sympathy of others.
