Christine Paitcher

DIED.

Mrs. Christine Paitcher, died of consumption of the bowels, March 31st, 1881, in the 43rd year of her age. She was married to Mr. Paitcher Nov. 30th, 1879. she had years ago made a profession of religion, but being deprived through the cares of her family and failing health from attending upon public worship she grew neglectful of private and home Christian duties and so became worldly minded and lost measurably both her interest and enjoyment in religion. But affliction was made a spiritual blessing and she returned to her religious life duties and Christian experience returned with great clearness and power. A few weeks before her death she requested the Lord's Supper to be administered to her. It was done, and the impressive scene as her family and other relatives and neighbors joined in the solemn service will not be soon forgotten. Her funeral sermon was preached at the Luther school-house and she was buried there, Rev. Mr. Brakeman officiating. Mr. W. P. Talbot had charge of the funeral procession, and was prompt and efficient in all the arrangements.
