Maggie O'Connor
Obituary.
O'CONNOR, -- Died, at the Mercy Hospital, chicago, of inflammation of the bowels, Miss Maggie O'Connor, aged 22 years.
The deceased was a native of this city, her widowed mother and family now residing on the O'Connor farm one-half miles north-west of town. About 2 years ago she went to live in Chicago, where resides an elder sister, Mrs. Ml. Bates. Of a prtly form and robust constitution, none of her friends expected they would follow her remains to their last resting place at the early age of 22 years, but death spares none. Last Thursday night her mother was first apprised, by telegram, of her daughter's critical condition, and she had but a few hours stay at the dying bedside before the final moment of dissolution arrived. All that medical skill and the loving care of the good sisters of Mercy could do, proved of no avail and Sunday morning she passed quietly away fortified by the last rites of the Catholic church. The remains were brought here Monday morning and taken to her mother's residence. The funeral, which was largely attended, took place yesterday from St. Paul's church. R. I. P.
Amongst those who attended the funeral from Chicago were Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bates, Mr. and Mrs. Michael O'Connor, Mrs. Jas. Sheehy, Mrs. Sheehy, Miss Mary O'Connor, Miss Agnes O'Connor, Jos. Bates, James Bates, John Bates; Mr. John McGovern, agent of the Keely Brewing Co.; and Mr. Dooley, foreman of the Keely Brewing Co.
