Mrs. James O'Brien
DIED.
[From the Union City (Pa.) Times.]
O'BRIEN. -- At her residence on High street, Mrs. James O'Brien, aged 77 years.
The deceased was born in the County Tipperary, Ireland, and came to this country thirty-seven years ago. Having resided in Albany, N. Y., Jordan, N. Y., Royal Center, Ind., and for six years past in this city. A woman of fine conversational powers, a keen appreciation of humor, a kind and forgiving spirit she could only see the good in human nature. As a wife, she possessed in an earnest degree the noble attributes that all the word implies. As a mother, she was sympathetic, kind and loving to her children. A kind word or kiss from grandma was a panacea for all heartaches for the little children. For three weeks she suffered with congestive chills which she bore with Christian fortitude, and calling her children and grand-children to her bedside, she said that the hour of her dissolution had come, and bade each an affectionate "good-bye," and sank quietly to her eternal rest. She was a consistent member of the Catholic church, and died as she lived -- a pure, christian woman.
