Mrs. Oliver Norton
TOWN AND COUNTRY.
Through an oversight, notice of the death of Mrs. Oliver Norton was omitted in last week's Tribune. Mrs. Norton lived in Hageman, and for some time past has been troubled with a tumorous growth on the front part of her wind-pipe. The trouble, though annoying, was not considered dangerous, and did not prevent the lady from attending to her household duties. On the morning of her death, which occurred Saturday before last, she arose in her usual health, but during the day began to feel badly. In the evening, as she was walking across the room, lamp in hand, she suddenly staggered, and a neighbor lady, who was there at the time, siezed the lamp in time to prevent its being smashed. , and Mrs. Norton sank to the floor, expiring almost instantly. It is supposed that the growth on her neck had closed her wind pipe, and that she died of stangulation. The funeral was held a week ago last Monday, and was largely attended. The G. A. R. members turned out in body. Deceased leaves a husband and two children to mourn her loss. Mr. Norton has the sympathy of the community.
