Frank Munger
UNKNOWN MAN MAY HAVE BEEN STUDENT HERE
(From Saturday's Daily)
Two days ago the body of an unidentified man was buried in the potter's field east of this city. Today word was received here from Seattle, Wash., that the description answered that of Frank Munger, formerly a meat dealer in that city, a member of the Masonic fraternity, and once a student at Valparaiso university. Munger had been absent from Seattle for some time, and his whereabouts was unknown.
The man who met death from a Nickel Plate train near Wheeler had nothing on his person that might furnish a clew to his identity, except a blank deposit slip from a bank of Seattle, on which was some notation. This was sent to the banking institution, which furnished the information here today.
Prof. O. P. Kinsey, at the university today, said that he had a recollection of a Munger here in school. The year he attended may be ascertained by the records. Every effort will be made there to locate the name in the records, and by this it is believed Munger's relatives can be found, who may want to come here to disinter the body in the potter's field for identification purposes.
There was nothing on the body of the dead man to indicate that he had been a man of good position. He traveled as a hobo, and in his pockets was found only a sandwich, a "greaser," and a slip of paper inscribed with names in a good, round writing.
