Georgie Elvira Morgan
Death of Georgie Morgan.
DIED -- On Tuesday, Feb. 27, Georgie Elvira, beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Morgan, aged 11 years, 10 months and 12 days.
The hand of sorrow has been rudely and heavily laid upon the happy home of George Morgan, and death has snatched a loved one from the family circle. Little Georgie, her mother's jewel, and her father's pet, has gone to return no more. Her happy sould left is tortured body Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 27, at 2 o'clock.
The child had been sick but a short time. Two weeks ago the family attended a gathering in Valparaiso at Mr. Gardner's, and Georgie ate of the delicacies and ate heartily some ice-cream. Shortly after, the long drive home was made, and the child began to show signs of illness. Inflammation of the bowels set in, which ran in to perehetis, and of course that meant death.
The funeral was held from the family residence Thursday at 1 o'clock, and was attended by a great many people not only from here, but also from abroad. The services were conducted by Rev. Weston.
The parents have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in this their grevious hour of affliction.
