D. M. Montz
Died on the Cars.
A sad occurrence of the week was the death of Mr. D. M. Montz, who died of consumption last Monday, the 17th inst., on the cars near Aurora, Ill. He left our city about a month ago on a trip to Iowa for his health, but not finding it improving started to return home, where he had a brother and sisters. The body was left at the station house in Aurora, where an inquest was held. Papers found upon the body told who he was and where from. His sisters were telegraphed, and Undertaker Noel was sent to bring the body here, which arrived Tuesday and was buried yesterday, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. E. S. Riley at the Baptist church. Mr. Montz was a kind, up-right, business-like young man, and highly respected by all who knew him.
