VALPO MAN GETS NEWS OF BROTHER'S DEATH
(From Thursday's Daily)
J. R. Mills, who has just returned here from LaGrange, Ill., where he spent the winter, received a long distance telephone message this morning announcing the death of his brother, A. J. Mills, at New Canaan, Conn. He will be remembered here by old citizens of the city and county, having conducted a millinery business here in '75 and '76, where the Foster ice cream parlors now are. For many years he was connected with the Marshall Field company in Chicago, and built the first house in Woodlawn, a suburb prior to the world's fair in 1893. The surviving brother here recently celebrated his 70th birthday anniversary.
