Charles McNamara
Coroner's Inquest Report.
State of Indiana,
Porter County, } SS.
Be it remembered, that on the 19th day of May, 1882, information was given to me that the dead body of a boy lay in Center township, in said State and county, supposed to have come to his death by violence or casualty, and to ascertain so far as possible the cause and circumstances of said death, witnesses were called and sworn, and their material evidence reduced to writing, signed by myself, and filed in the Clerk's office of said County.
Whereupon I find decedent's name was Charles McNamara, that he was about 23 years old, of dark complexion, 6 feet high well dressed and that he came to his death by reason of injuries received from falling from freight train No. 36 of the M. S. R. R. at or near a place called Burdick Station, Porter County, Indiana, on the evening of the 18th day of May 1882, and his person was committed to the charge of the Township Trustee for burial.
A. P. LETHERMAN,
Coroner of Porter County.
