Mary Edna McGill
The numerous friends of Mr. and Mrs. James M. McGill, of this city, sincerely sympathize with them in the heavy affliction which has befallen them. On Monday morning, the 3d inst./, they were called upon to part with their youngest child, aged six months. Until Wednesday of last week she had enjoyed uninterrupted health from her birth, and was remarkable for her sweetness and gentleness. The sickness with which she was then taken was beyond medical skill, and though she was spared any intense suffering, there was no power which could hold her life. Just eight days before her death she had been publicly consecrated to God in baptism in the Presbyterian church. Now she is forever with the Lord. The funeral services were conducted at the residence by Rev. R. Beer on Tuesday, July 4, at 4 p. m. and the remains were interred in the family grounds in the old cemetery. Friends had been mindful to show their regard in numerous and tasteful floral emblems.
