OBITUARY.
McCONKEY. -- Tuesday morning, Sept. 17, 1878, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McConkey, near Valparaiso, Mrs. Ida F., wife of Mr. James McConkey and daughter of Mr. F. W. Hunt.
Ida Finette Hunt was born Sept. 18th, 1852. On the 15th day of January, 1874, she was married to Mr. James McConkey. Two children were born to them, one of whom passed away from earth before the death of the mother. About a year ago, after much serious thought she accepted the terms of salvation offered through Jesus Christ, publicly professed his name, and found peace in believing in him.
During her last sickness, which was extremely painful, she was constantly cheered and comforted by the presence and promises of him in whom she had put her trust. Desiring to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord, she fell asleep in him, to rise again at his coming in glory.
Her remains were buried at the new cemetery, the funeral services being conducted at the Presbyterian church by Rev. R. Beer.
