Sue McCollum
Resolutions of Respect.
In remembrance and manifestation of highest esteem for Sue McCollum, deceased, the Crescent literary society of the Normal School, Valparaiso, Indiana, met in accordance with the wishes of its members who by her death have lost a dear and beloved associate and an honest, industrious and brilliant worker in their organization, and
Resolved that in the high character and unceasing zeal of Sue McCollum this society has had no superior; and in her sudden departure from this life and its usefulness and from the realities which might have sprung up from a disposition so energetic and determined each one feels the loss of a noble sister member, a true friend and lady.
Resolved that we extend our heartfelt sympathy to her sorrowing sister, who also mourns the loss of her recently deceased brother, to her relatives and friends, in their bereavement; and to those immediately connected with her life and welfare we express our deep sorrow and profound sympathy.
Resolved that through her long sickness she manifested patience and fortitude: that as it has pleased God in His divine wisdom to remove her out of the midst of her many associates, we humbly submit to His will.
