The following resolutions were adopted yesterday by Crescent Society:
Whereas, Death has again invaded our society and taken from among our number another of our most worthy members; be it
Resolved, That in the death of Frank McCollum Crescent Society has suffered the loss of an earnest worker who was ever ready to respond to the call of duty -- a genial associate and friend.
Resolved, That we extend our heartfelt sympathy to his sorrowing sisters, to his mourning relatives and friends, and to her who, with untiring and loving hand, so nobly ministered to the comfort of his last hours; and be it
Resolved That knowing our loss is his gain, that with them we humbly submit to the will of him whose every act is one of love for his children;
Resolved, That in the quiet submission and patient fortitude manifested throughout his illness, in his ever perfect faith in his Maker, in the blissful contentment experienced when hovering on the borderland of the here and the beyond, he directs us in the way of peace and rest.
