Emma Christine Martin
CHESTERTON CHIPS
Mrs. Emma Christine Martin died on June 18th, and was buried on Monday, June 20th, from the Swedish Lutheran church. For ten weeks she had been a great sufferer of rheumatic fever, and although under good medical care, and at times recovery seemed probable, several relapses set in, finally ending in death. Her three children, all boys, the oldest 15, the youngest 9 years old, were left fatherless seven years ago, and are now orphans without means of support. We understand, the two oldest, through the kindness of Mr. and Mrs. Simmons, have already been provided for, and the youngest will, no doubt, also find a home soon. Mrs. Martin was of a kind and obliging disposition, and the large attendance at her funeral proved that she was missed by a host of friends. She was at the time of her death 43 years, 1 month, and 8 days old.
