Alvah J. Louderback
OBITUARY.
The family of our friend J. S. Louderback is cast down in sorrow at the loss from the family circle of the little son and brother, Alvah, whose death occurred Monday morning about 3 o'clock at the family residence in this city. Alvah was a little more than three years old, a bright and beautiful child, giving fair promise of future joy and pride to the now bereaved family. But this is a world of disappointment, and often our fondest hopes are destined not to be realized. Thus has it been to Mr. Louderback and his sorrowing family. In the bud of childhood, as the tender child plant was just ready to bloom into joyous youth, little Alvah was prostrated by that dread disease, rheumatism. Thro' weeks of suffering to him, and days and nights of anxious suspense to father, mother, brother and sister, he lay until the death angel came and carried him away into the great future world. Words fail to express the consolation that sho'd be extended to Mr. Louderback and his family. Words to them in this their hour of trial should be only those of sympathy.
The funeral services were held at the Baptist church Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Riley, the pastor, officiating.
