Visitors at our old city cemetery ground have often doubtless noticed with some curiosity a little monument appearing to be casually broken at the top, and many have supposed it accidental; but the fact is Rev. Mr. Logan, pastor of the Presbyterian church here 16 years ago, chose that form of a monument to represent that his two children buried there had life so broken off in childhood. Well, their father lately sent direction here, and Monday afternoon had their remains unburied and removed, together with the monument itself to be deposited where he now lived down East. We are informed that both the coffins and their contents were returned to dust except some little portions of the bones.
