Resolutions of Condolence.
HALL OF MORGAN GRANGE No. 14,
June 17, 1874.
Your Committee to whom was referred the drafting of obituary resolutions on the death of Brother Elihu Lee, who died May 25th, 1874, submit the following report:
WHEREAS, It has pleased the Grand Master of the universe, in his inscrutable wisdom and to fulfill a divine purpose of which we know not, to remove from the harvest fields of earth to be garnered in Heaven our well beloved brother. Therefore,
Resolved, That while we bow in sorrowful submission to the divine decree of Him that doeth all things well, we nevertheless cannot refrain from expressing our bereavement in having to make a separation from one who has labored so long, so faithfully and so hopefully with us.
Resolved, That we tender our sympathy to the family and friends of our deceased brother in this their hour of sorrow and irreparable loss, we admonish them to bear their loss with christian fortitude, remembering that the time is not far distant when we will meet in that celestial land to part no more.
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be presented to the family of the deceased in token of the respect we bear to our departed brother.
