POPULAR YOUNG WOMAN OF CHESTERTON DEAD
Miss Ivy LaHayn, 22 years old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William LaHayn of Chesterton, died late last night the Michigan City hospital, where she was taken in the first stages of her illness. Death was due to typhoid fever, which attacked her at Lafayette, February 22d, while there on a visit with friends. Miss LaHayn was on of the most popular young women in the north part of the county. She was born there and educated, and graduated from the Chesterton high school in 1913. Besides her parents, she leaves two brothers, R. L. LaHayn and W. L. LaHayn. One sister, Miss Myrtle, died several years ago at the age of 23. Word of the death reached the home this morning just after 3 o'clock, and the body was moved back there today. The time for the funeral had not been definitely set this morning.
