William Kluge
Wm. Kluge, one of the most respected German citizens of Michigan City, died early Friday morning, Dec. 21, from the effects of an accidental severing of the posterin tibial artery of the left leg Wednesday morning while butchering a calf at the home of Daniel Lindahl, of Jackson township. His wife was at his bedside when he died. Mr. Kluge was a man of about 42 years of age, and for a long time, until recently, had been engaged in the meat market business. This fall he sold out owing to ill health and was only doing odd jobs and buying cattle when the fatal accident befel him. He leaves a wife and four Children to grieve his untimely end. The funeral was held in Michigan City Monday afternoon last.
