Minnie A. Kettle
Obituary.
Died -- on Wednesday, Sept. 23rd, after a long and painful illness Mrs. Minnie A. Turner, in her 25th year.
The subject of this notice was born in Germany, in July, 1860, and with her parents came to America in 18--. In 18-- she was united in marriage to Mr. Chas. F. Turner. For the past few years their home has been in Chicago. About a year ago, Mrs. Turner's health began to fail, and though the services of the most eminent medical men in Chicago were secured in her behalf, she gradually grew worse. Thinking a change of air might be beneficial she was brought to her brother's, Mr. Charles Kettle, and for a time greatly improved in health. Just at a time when it was thought she might recover, an attack of dyssentary came on, and the poor feeble body was unable to successfully cope with this dread disease, and at last the brave spirit fled from its earthly house of suffering.
Mrs. Turner's loss was a terrible blow to her husband, family and friends. The funeral services were held at the M. E. Church, in Chesterton, on Friday, at 2 o'clock P. M., Rev. Z. Lambert officiating. The remains were followed to their last resting place in the Chesterton cemetery by hosts of friends. Mrs. Turner leaves a husband, two brothers, two sisters and father and mother, with many other relatives to mourn her loss. They have the sympathy of the entire community in this, their hour of sorrow.
