TALK OF THE TOWN
Maria N. Kersey, formerly of Wheeler, who was taken to Long Cliff asylum, at Logansport, last April, committed suicide by hanging last Saturday morning. During the absence of her attendant she entered the water closet, tore a ruffle from her dress, putting one end around her neck, the other she tied to a water pipe, and, bending her knees in order to throw the weight upon her neck, strangled to death in about three minutes.
