Mary K. Keesler
OBITUARY.
KEESLER. -- Died, on Saturday, March 1, 1879, Mrs. Mary K., wife of William Keesler, or Porter township, Porter county, Indiana, aged forty years.
Mrs. Keesler was a most estimable woman, a loving and faithful wife and mother, and was taken away from her family and friends in the prime of her life, and from the midst of usefulness. During the weaknessm resulting from recent child-birth, two bright and beautiful daughters, one sixteen and the other eight years of age, died on successive days, of malignant scarlatina, after one and three days illness respectively, and she was so prostrated by the overwhelming calamity that her system was unable to rally from the shock.
She had resided in Valparaiso until a few years ago and had many friends here. She had been a member of the Presbyterian church in this place since March 30th, 1859. On Monday last after funeral services at her late residence conducted by Rev. R. Beer, her remains were laid in the new cemetery beside her beloved children and only 13 days after them.
Many sincerely and tenderly sympathize with the husband and remaining children in their sore bereavement.
